How do we work?

It’s our people that make us unique. Our team includes individuals with a wealth of experience in teaching and in managing schools, often in challenging educational environments. These educationalists are supported by experts from industry, including management consultants, marketing and communications specialists, project and programme managers and change management professionals. It’s this mixture of public and private sector experience, channelled through a consulting discipline, which we believe is the secret to our success.

Who are we looking for?

We need professionals who can drive outcomes, whilst managing and nurturing complex stakeholder relationships. You will have the ability to sensitively challenge stakeholders, whilst building consensus and influencing groups and communities. Ideally, you will have an understanding of education, from an academic or local government background coupled with strong project management skills.


What kind of roles are available?

A short overview of the types of roles we are currently recruiting for:

Assistant Project Manager
This role involves assisting Project Managers in the delivery of multiple concurrent projects within budget and timescales, as well as ensuring that appropriate support is provided to the Client Director and Consultants. to ensure best utilisation of time.

Project Manager
The Project Management role involves managing the development and establishment of an Academy to ensure that the desired educational outcomes are achieved within the time and budget parameters that are set for the project.

Client Director
Place Group Client Directors are responsible for business identification, strategic direction and development of client accounts. This will be achieved through the effective management of client relationships and the leadership of Place Group project teams. The ultimate goal is to maximise client satisfaction, develop long term revenue growth and deliver the overall profitability of all projects being undertaken within each Client Director’s client group.

Senior Consultant
Senior Consultants are accountable for delivering consultancy assignments and providing team leadership to other Consultants working on the project when required. Senior Consultants will use their expertise to innovate change and to provide thought leadership and strategic planning to clients, which will result in quality deliverables that are within timescale and project budgets.

Lead Consultant
The Lead Consultant has responsibility for leading consultancy assignments in order to facilitate clients’ desired outcomes. This will involve coordination and management of the assignment team’s activities with, or on behalf of, the Client Director. The role also includes responsibility for facilitating and taking the lead on all assignment activities, with particular focus on the strategic benefits. The Lead Consultant will use their expertise to innovate change and provide thought leadership and strategic planning, to ensure that all activities are completed successfully, on time and to the expected level of quality. They will also be expected to identify and secure new business opportunities with existing and new clients, developing broad relationships with local government officers, government representatives and key stakeholders.
